Team meeting minutes

Hello humans! here is an update from the first half of build season.

If you would like immediate updates please follow our twitter account @team2944 but on to the update, so far as a team we have spent 1154 hours and 42 minutes, great job team! We start the same way that we do every year, by going to Eastern Washington University, and attending the FRC kickoff. The game was reveiled and next was coming back to Lewis and Clark High School and hosting our own kickoff and pancake breakfast for the members of the team that did not go to Eastern. During our own kickoff, we look at our kit of parts which consisted of motors, gift certificates, bumper supplies, a boulder, and even a deck of VEX playing cards. These were inventoried and put away in our highly organized corner of the physics storage room. After getting everything in our kit of parts organized, we reveil the game video to the rest of the team. After we get all of our excitement out of our syatem, we started to brain storm. How do we get through the challenges of defences, shooting, and scaling the tower, etc. to conquer these questions we broke into design groups. By the end of the first week we voted on a design and next it's time to start working. The design that we voted on was a shooting robot so our strategy would consist of going for the high goal to win the game by gaining more match points. We had tank treds donated to us by a company named tank chain. They donated prototypes to us that are very high quality, so far from what we've seen, we are very satisfied. By week two we had the chassis up and running which means that we can then name the robot. We decided on the name "Caerbanogg beast" inspired from the movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail. At this point in the season we are working on building the shooter, the prototype was approved a week earlier.

We have made lots of progress and the whole team should be so proud of what we have accomplished so far. I look forward to seeing what we do with the rest of the season.

Also it's Ms. McLean's birthday! Happy birthday we are beyond lucky to have an amazing lady like you as our head mentor, you inspire us everyday to be better and work harder. We love you!

Thank you!
Maddi
