The 2016 competition season was truly one for the books. We had good matches and bad matches but overall we competed as a team, working to build a fantastic robot and presenting awards together to be the best team we can be. We have a lot of room for improvement but our eighth competition was amazing. We won two awards, the gracious professionalism award at West Valley and the imagery award at Central Washington University. The gracious professionalism award was awarded for our attempts and current relationships with other teams in our area. The imagery award was awarded for our team appearance, in other words the bunny ears we wore all weekend as well as the decorations on our robot.

At West Valley, we ended up in rank six at the end of qualifications. We were the fourth alliance captain with our partners, the St. Georges dragons 1595 and the RoboCats 3712. Our alliance made it through the semi-finals.

At Central Washington University, we ended up in rank 26 at the end of qualifications, unfortunately we did not get picked for an alliance. We did make it to the PNW championships for the third time in our team history.

At the PNW championships we ended in rank 43.

At the end of the day it does not matter if we won or lost as a team, what matters is that we stayed true to our core FIRST values and learned to conquer the challenges of the game. FIRST Stronghold treated us very nicely, I am excited to see what the game is next season.

A huge shout out goes to all of our graduating seniors! we have had an amazing four years with all of you. This team is proud to have all of our amazing future alumni! Team 2944 cannot wait to see all the places you will go.
