Hello and welcome to our Meet Your Tiger posts! We hope to keep these up and going weekly, to help not just our fans and sponsors get to know us but also to help us get to know each other better. If you have a suggestion for which Titanium Tiger you would like to hear from next or if you have question suggestions, please email us at Team2944Historian@gmail.com.
And now, drrrrrrrrrrrum roll, please....
Meet mentor Ms. McLean!

McLean is currently a Math and Engineering teacher at LC and has been a Team 2944 member since 2012. she joined robotics because she has wanted to be a part of the since she first heard of it during her first year of teaching in Texas. At that that school there was a waiting list to be a mentor. When she moved to Spokane, WA she was immediately offered to help out this FRC team with former mentor, Mr. Edmonds.
Now onto the juicy stuff:
Would you rather watch Star Trek or Star Wars?
Both are great!
What motivates you to work hard?
I'm motivated by seeing the results. I like to see the outcomes of my hard work.
It's karoake time! What are you going to sing?
(something in korean?) "Shot through the heart and you're to blame...You give love a bad name." JON BON JOVI-Because it's fun and I know the words.
What did you plan to do after high school?
I wanted to be an architect but I was inspired by the Mars rover mission to become a mechanical engineer...stumbled into teaching, out of boredom and necessity.
What is your favorite thing about FRC?
I love how much the team gets done in six weeks and how excited normally introverted kids get when the "cupid shuffle" starts to play.
If you had a time machine, what year would you travel to?
The wild west or the twenties.
What has been your favorite subject at LC?
I love teaching freshman because they will say the funniest things but I love teaching math and Engineering. Working at LC is my dream job.
If you were a super hero, what would your powers be?
Teleportation, I love to travel but I hate the cost and time it takes to get to cool places.
Thanks, Ms. McLean! We have loved finding out more about you and we are so glad you chose to become a Titanium Tiger!
Stay tuned to find out who our next Meet Your Tiger will feature!
