Meet Your Tiger - Maddi Johnston

Meet veteran member and historian Maddi Johnston!

Maddi is currently a junior at LC and has been a Team 2944 member since 2014. she joined robotics because she made some friends on the team that convinced her to join.

Now onto the juicy stuff:

• Would you rather watch Star Trek or Star Wars?

Personally, I would rather watch Clue: The movie, but if I had to choose, definitely Star Wars!

• What motivates you to work hard?

I think that when you are part of a team, it is way easier to be motivated because just like how you are dependent on your other team members, they are also dependent on you. It also helps when you enjoy what you are doing!

• It's karoake time! What are you going to sing?

I happen to be a horrible singer (I would compare my singing voice to a beached whale) but, if I must sing my song is never gonna give you up by Rick Astley

• What do you plan to do after high school? Do you want to stay involved in STEM somehow?

I plan on going to college and studying psychology, chemistry, and neroscience. One day I would like to study the causes of mental illness and how to cure or prevent it. So, yes I would like to stay involved in STEM.

• What is your favorite thing about FRC?

My favorite thing about FRC has to be the experience I gain and cheering on the drive team at competitions.

• If you had a time machine, what year would you travel to?

I would travel back to the twenties because I love the style. Another reason is so that I could use words like gams, or soda pop without getting strange looks.

• What has been your favorite subject at LC?

My favorite subject would be journalism because I love interviewing people and having a team of peoples hard work come together every month to make a newspaper that appeals to the students of LC.

• If you were a super hero, what would your powers be?

I would want earth powers so that I could talk to animals and manipulate the ground and trees. I would not use it that often, just on special occasions.
